bareMinerals Skincare Review & Reader Giveaway

Last month I told you about bareMinerals Skincare, the all new and groundbreaking line from  Bare Escentuals.  These new formulas, powered by 100% pure RareMinerals Active Soil Complex (with three times the antioxidant capacity of blueberries) encourage increased cell turnover, smaller pores, fewer fine lines and wrinkles and the famous bareMinerals Naturally Luminous glow.

Since that time, I have had the opportunity to try two of the new bareMinerals products - the Deep Cleansing Foam and Purely Nourishing Moisturizer.   The Deep Cleansing Foam is designed to deeply cleanse skin and lift away impurities. The "non-drying formula bursts into a rich lather when activated with water to deep clean pores, instantly refresh skin, and give you a naturally luminous glow."  My thoughts:  I have to agree with that description. It gets super foamy! You only need to use a tiny bit, the size of a small pea, to get a ton of foaming action. It feels very soft and silky on your skin, almost too silky to actually be cleaning, but it DOES clean very well and leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized.

The Purely Nourishing Moisturizer uses a lightweight formula to hydrate skin and improve firmness, elasticity, radiance and skin texture. It is formulated to provide the perfect amount of hydration for combination skin while potent antioxidants help protect skin from environmental stressors.  My thoughts: I liked that the moisturizer was indeed light weight and did not leave my skin feeling greasy or tacky.  It also had an awesome, light fragrance.  I haven't used it long enough to see long-term results, but if it does result in younger-looking skin, that will be a great bonus!

I also have to say that I LOVE the packaging on these products.  The boxes are super cute with bright graphical designs - I actually felt bad discarding them!
